VILLA OASIS WITH PRIVATE POOL is a unique Tuscan property, born on what once was “Il Mulino di
Ferraia” (still known to locals by this name): an old 16th Century stone water mill,
newly renovated with loving care to combine a preservation of its original
appearance and fascinating mystique with all modern amenities. This magical
place, situated next to a river in a sheltered position is immersed in the most
diverse vegetation and neighboring to vineyards which used to attract many poets,
writers and artists since the 1700s when the English Romantic poet William
Wordsworth became internationally famous with his verses for the nearby
Vallombrosa Abbey and its fantastic forest, visited several times in recent years by
His Majesty King Charles.The natural gardens along the riverside offers many tranquil spaces and nooks in
which you can sit and relax, while the swimming pool is conveniently located and
surrounded by bamboo, with steps leading down to the river where more
adventurous guests can dip under the waterfall. The delightful re-imagined hayloft
(in Italian “Loggia”) is overlooking the river and is decorated on the model of a
Medici villa, certainly an ideal spot for outdoor dining and extremely romantic for
candlelight dinners. The room of millstones, kept in its original condition, is the
place where homemade bread and pasta were made daily and offered to locals
coming to the mill (Il Mulino) throughout the centuries. This special room is now
available to guests as an indoor dining space, and is also the ideal spot to cool off
during the hottest days and to enjoy a relaxing wine tasting - its atmosphere will
take you back to ancient times.The wood-burning oven near the millstones room is perfect for making pizza,
homemade bread and features a grill for your favorite food: it’s the perfect
companion to the wine-tasting millstone room next door!
Upon request as a special experience guests can request wine tasting, cooking
lessons, private chef, pizza chef, horseback riding, local tours (historical and
gastronomic!).Pure Land Villa is surrounded by history: nearby you will find one of the oldest
roads, called Setteponti, from ancient Roman times. It starts in Reggello (known
as the ‘City of Olive Oil’ and will lead you to must-see places such as the church of
San Pietro a Cascia, the San Giovenale Tryptic by world-renowned artist
Masaccio from 1422, a museum dedicated to Masaccio in the town of Cascia and
the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria in Piandisco’, built in the year 1008. Last
but not least, the incredible Vallombrosa Abbey built in 1036, still the current home
of the Benedictine Monks who run it along with one of the oldest natural
pharmacies in the world, surrounded by a magical forest.
After crossing the charming stone bridge that leads to Pure Land Villa, you will
reach your private parking. Right there, the handmade wooden gate will give you

access to the property. The welcoming main entrance featuring the original stone

arch from the 15th Century will bring you right into the beautiful modern fully-
equipped kitchen. On the same floor, next to the kitchen you will enter the dining

room, hosted inside the original mill room. On the other side of the kitchen you will
find the laundry room connected to a shower and powder room, while going back
to the main entrance you will access a cozy living room with fireplace and another
kitchen with dining room.
Walk up the original medieval stone staircase to arrive to the Master Bedroom, a

guest room (perfect for kids) and a beautiful bathroom with a very spacious spa-
like tub, offering a gorgeous view of the Tuscan hills. On the same floor you will

find the very spacious and comfortable Family Living Room with a fabulous
fireplace, ideal for movie night for the whole family with a high-end home theater
system and an HD projector.

Walk a few steps from the Master Bedroom and you will find the exquisite Medici-
style hayloft with outdoor couch, dining table and chairs, the perfect spot for

breakfasts, brunches, lunches or dinners al fresco: the perfect balance between
outdoors and indoors.
Going up to the second floor, accessible from the Family Living Room you will find
four guest double rooms, all with private bathrooms including showers and an
additional bathtub in one of the bathrooms.
The outdoor space of the property is magnificent and will lure you to eat and relax
below the shaded pergola, sip a local wine or a freshly-made espresso and then
decide between heading to the hammock under the oak tree or towards the
gorgeous salt-water swimming pool, where you will find chaise lounges and pool
beds.
Every room of the property has separate AC/Heating with dedicated thermostats in
each space and high-speed internet via satellite connection. There is an alarm
system and cameras (outdoors only) that will be de-activated during the guests
stay.
